We, Michael and Terry, launched Bantam in Alice Springs in 2002. Alexis Wright brought one of her chooks to the launch – on a roasting 42 degree day with parching desert winds sweeping across central Australia. Dust was blowing everywhere. It was quite the opposite of damp muddy Cygnet (oops, I mean Bantam).
